ABOUT ME [aka: ADVENTURE MOM]
I began my professional writing career in 1995 when an editor hired me ‘against his better judgment’ (because I was the only one to apply for the job). From this humble beginning I have enjoyed a decade and a half of stimulating, thrilling and often very wet assignments in settings around the world. I’m a hard worker, professional, business-minded yet pleasant; will skirt a slough full of bears, go out on a leaky research vessel, or jump into chum-filled waters to get the job done.
For fun I love to sail, kayak, outrigger canoe and fish … I enjoy the outdoors and encourage other single mothers to be ‘ADVENTURE MOMS’ ... I am keen on adoption as ‘another choice’ … I enjoy the company of teenagers … and goats … and my girl friends covered in fish guts. I believe in the importance of volunteerism and giving back to my community and the planet. I love my family, friends, good wine, the ocean, majestic mountains, the scenic countryside, big clean cities, handsome pilots and sailor boys, but most of all: my daughter Coco.
